The point isn’t that it “should be saved”, or some soppy sentiment like that.
The point is that knocking it down and sticking it in a museum for people who will never grasp the context of its history does not constitute ‘saving’ it. It constitutes making a space for cheap flats and passing it off as cultural preservation.

Aww, you are a sweetheart. We have had to arrange to give Kipper back to the RSPCA. We tried a couple more gentle introductions whilst one was shut in his hitch and they still tried to fight through the bars. Occasionally they hear each other through the door and become distressed and start thumping. It’s not good for their well-being to keep him unfortunately. We wish we could - he is a little dream! So curious and affectionate. It’s all very sad. Our bun, Penny, is on the mend. He’s got stitches and has antibiotics (which he hates) and eye drops. Another check-up on Wednesday and hopefully the stitches can come out :)
